How many of you drive?

so for anyone that drives i am here to tell you about something that may become real and change the driving experiences for every one in, i think, a good way.

it is called the future highway.
it is in development in Amsterdam and involves making the road safer mostly at night and help the world become more GREEN.

First thing, street lights take a lot of energy and they also take way to much space and metal.  They also cost a lot.  so how could you fix that?

This is one of their ideas for for to fix that.

as the car approaches the lights are turned on and thus providing light but saving energy.  This is a super cool idea.

Another idea that this Dutch team wants to add is the idea of road problems such as ice.

For the example they used when the road gets icy it would display that snowflake design would show up thus letting drivers know the road conditions and helping out.

Thay make it using this paint called Dynamic Paint.

They plan to use this for the lines on the road to make the lines stand out more.

the way that this Dynamic Paint works is that it charges during the day and glows at night.

so yeah.

last thing and in my personal opinion the coolest thing is this.

They want to have a lane that charges your 'electric' car as you drive.  The reason that this is so great is because it would let the sale of electric cars go up.  This means you could go on the electric engine for much longer.

So yeah, future highways.
